An imprisoned drug kingpin offers a huge cash reward to anyone that can break him out of police custody and only the LAPD’s Special Weapons and Tactics team can prevent it.
S.W.A.T. officers Jim Street and Brian Gamble were sent in to prevent an extremely violent bank robbery. Although they thwarted the robbery, a hostage was shot in the process which lead to their elimination from S.W.A.T. Street was suspended and Gamble was fired from the team.
A couple of months later, a veteran S.W.A.T. officer, Hondo, is asked to form a S.W.A.T. team for his own division. He chooses some S.W.A.T. officers and three novices. After they clear the S.W.A.T. training, they’re alerted that a French crime master Montell is trying to escape the prison. Montell has promised $100 million to anyone who helps his escape.
